As part of the nation’s successful Tourism for All campaign, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is launching new itineraries designed for elderly and disabled travelers in Ratchaburi, Pattaya, Bankgok, Chiang Mai, Kanchanaburi, Phuket, Khon Kaen, Ayutthaya, and Nakhon Ratchasima. The itineraries facilitate easier access to major destinations and attractions. Special wellness and entertainment packages are also being offered.

The Tourism for All campaign was rolled out in September 2016 following the success of the World Tourism Day international event held in Bangkok.

According to the Global Pension Index, Thailand is seventh among the top 73 countries for elderly people. In 2016, 3.62 million older travelers visited Thailand, up 17.2% over 2015.
