The annual kite festival has kicked off at the Army Non-Commissioned Officer School in Hua Hin.
This year’s theme is Heroes in the Air. Teams from Canada, France. Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, India, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and other countries will compete. Highlights include a traditional Thai kite battle between a star-shaped Chula (male) and diamond-shaped Pakpao (female), accompanied by Thai classical music by the Pi Phat ensemble, as well as a kite exhibition, food fair, and a variety of contests and performances.
The event continues until 25 March.
