Myanmar's Bagan Makes it to UNESCO List

10 July 2019

Myanmar's ancient capital of Bagan has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, Bagan features around 3500 pagodas, temples and other shrines built between the 11th and 13th centuries.

The decision to inscribe Bagan on the list was adopted by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee at the recent meeting in Baku.
