Thailand Reaps PATA Accolades

17 September 2019

The TAT’s “Khon, An Aesthetic Art of Drama” poster and five other Thai tourism products and services have been named among winners of this year’s PATA Grand and Gold Awards.

Two of four PATA Grand Awards 2019 will be granted to the Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement, ASSET-H&C, Thailand and Elephant Hills Co., Ltd.

The IECD, Thailand will receive a Grand Award for its ‘Association of Southeast Asian Social Enterprises for Training in Hospitality and Catering (ASSET-H&C)’ initiative. Elephant Hills Thailand will be honored with a Grand Award in the Environment category in recognition of its elephant conservation efforts. This is the second year in a row that Thailand’s first luxury tented jungle camps have been conferred with this prestigious award.

Four of 29 PATA Gold Awards 2019 will be presented to TAT and three local travel operators.

The Award Ceremony will be held on 19 September, during the PATA Travel Mart 2019 in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan, formerly known as Astana.
