Children's Day in Thailand is traditionally celebrated on the second Saturday of January. This year it falls on 11 January. Many public and private organizations have prepared various activities for children across the country.
In Bangkok, Government House in the Dusit area is a popular venue for families on that day, when kids are invited to step inside the Prime Minister’s office and even sit in his chair and have their photo taken with his portrait.
Plentiful festive events will be held in museums, shopping malls, theme parks and other venues nationwide.
