Phuket Invites Foodies for an Unforgettable Experience

The 22nd annual Phuket Food Festival will be held from 27 February to 4 March at Saphan Hin Park. The year’s edition will feature more than 100 food and beverage stalls.

To make the event environmentally friendly, separate waste bins will be placed throughout the venue to urge visitors to think greenly and dispose of their waste properly. Using foam and plastic containers will be banned. – and banning the use of foam and plastic containers. Some stalls will even offer a small discount for customers who bring their own containers.

The festival plays an important role in maintaining the city’s reputation as a gourmet destination and is aimed at showcasing the diverse local food culture and promoting culinary tourism. In 2015 the UNESCO declared Phuket a ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’, in recognition of the island's rich culinary history and unique cuisine.
