Koh Tao

With incredible land- and seascapes, Koh Tao (island) is the place you want to be if diving is what you want to be doing. In addition, it is perfectly suited to those who have had enough of the clubs and just want to relax amongst younger crowds, who seem to flock to this island in droves.

Location

Koh Tao is located within the Samui archipelago, and takes about two-and-a-half hours by boat from the main island of the same name.

Beach Vacations

The finest white sand, clean calm water, and numerous palm trees which cast shadows over the coast make Koh Tao a great option for swimming and sunbathing.

Active Leisure

As the island is well-known for its incredibly beautiful submerged reefs, divers from all over the world across all levels flock to Koh Tao. Never taken the plunge? Don’t worry, get certified at any number of the local diving schools.

Public Services

Many islands within Thailand have yet to be truly westernized, and as such, with the exception of a few small villages, there are few public services. Koh Tao does have everything you need for a great vacation, however, such as restaurants, typical corner stores, and souvenir shops selling all manner of things such as beach accessories, clothing, and diving equipment.

Prices

Koh Tao is a great inexpensive option for young people. You will not find any luxury hotels here, but rather backpacking establishments by the plenty.

Please note:

Koh Tao has very steep roads. It is not recommended to drive alone.
