Pattaya’s U-Tapao airport is ready to host the Air Race 1 World Cup. Eight pilots will compete, attempting to cross the finish line first after eight laps of high-speed, low-altitude flying around a tight five-kilometre circuit at 450 kph, and all this while just 10 metres off the ground!
The race will be broadcast live in Thailand and shown in 100 countries across Europe, Asia, and the USA. Thai authorities believe the race will make a great contribution to the development of tourism and economics in the country. The Air Race 1 World Cup will be held between 17 and 19 November.
