Phi Phi Islands has been named the Kingdom’s most profitable national park for the second year running, according to the Department of Nature, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP).
In 2017, Had Nopparat Thara – Phi Phi Island National Park made THB 669 million. The next most profitable park, Ao Phang Nga, collected THB 390 million. Similan Islands was third, generating revenue of THB 307 million.
Thailand’s 147 national parks generated THB 2.4 billion from October 2016 through October 2017. Each national park uses its budget to restore the environment and develop its grounds.
