Krabi has been selected to host the first Thai Biennale. The event will feature sculptures, installations, and other forms of contemporary art presented by more than 60 local and international artists.
Thailand’s Culture Ministry, along with local authorities, agreed to spend THB 40 million to produce the event. The biennale will open on 2 November 2018 and continue until 28 February 2019.
On the same days, Bangkok will host the Bangkok Art Biennale, an exhibition of modern artists from the Asia Pacific region and Europe.
