Thailand’s tourism authority has announced its ‘12 Hidden Gems Plus’ campaign, for 2018.
The tourism agency, in cooperation with Thai AirAsia, Nok Air and Toyota Motors (Thailand), will roll out a series of promotions targeting Thai domestic travelers during the traditional high season (January to April) and the so-called ‘green season’ (May to September).
The campaign encourages travelers to visit ‘under-the-radar’ spots and unearth their treasures. Key events and destinations include the Poinsettia Festival in Loei (December 2017 – January 2018), Castles of Buri Ram (December 2017 – September 2018; fruit festivals in Chanthaburi, and more.
The organizers are relying on social media to support the project with numerous contests to win travel prizes and privileges.
