Thailand’s hotel association projects that the hospitality industry is poised to grow by 5% to -7% over last year.
Bangkok hotels will reach 70.7% occupancy, the association said. In Pattaya, 75.1% of rooms will be taken and in Phuket, occupancy will reach 60.3%. The upswing is attributed to an expected increase in visitors to Phuket and Bangkok by the end of the year.
During the first ten months of 2017, the Kingdom received 28.64 million tourists, up 6.56% year over year. The total number of foreign arrivals during 2017 is forecast to reach 34 million.
