Thai AirAsia has inaugurated direct daily service between Chumphon and Bangkok. The new flights are expected to promote tourism in the region around Chumphon, and boost its popularity among international visitors.
Situated in the southern Thailand, Chumphon is rich in cultural and natural attractions, including ancient temples, scenic waterfalls, hot springs, and a national park. The province’s most deeply revered sanctuary is Wat Thep Charoen, which houses what is believed to be a Buddha’s footprint and the body of Luang Pu Sai, a monk whose body is said to have never decayed.
