The old passenger terminal at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport will be demolished and a new facility capable of accommodating the increasingly growing traffic will be built, according to Airports of Thailand, PLC (AoT).
Opened in March 1914, Don Mueang airport is one of the oldest in the world. It served as the Kingdom’s major gateway before Suvarnabhumi Airport opened in 2006. Presently, it is used by domestic, low-cost, and charter carriers. In 2017, Don Mueang handled 38 million passengers.
