Yala’s Long-Awaited Airport to Open by 2020

Construction of an international airport in Yala, Thailand’s southernmost province, will be completed by the end of 2019, officials say, noting that the facility will not be commissioned until 2020. The new airport, more than 30 years in the making, will be able to handle more than 5 million passengers a year.
