The renovation of Pattaya’s Jomtien Beach will resume on 27 July. Mokora Yawapee, the Pattaya Engineering Department architect, has informed restaurant owners, beach vendors and city representatives that the beginning of the second phase of the renovation work is underway.
Construction will extend from the Rabbit Resort in Dongtan Beach to the sea rescue center, a distance of 1.2 kilometers. A new 1.5-meter-wide sidewalk will be built and the road will be revamped with new drainage culverts.
The THB 660 million project was developed to meet environmental requirements, and no tree will be cut down in the course of the renovation, Yawapee said. Trees found to obstruct the work will be moved.
The final stage of the work is scheduled to start this December and continue until February 2019. It will cover the part of the seafront from the rescue center to Pratamnak Soi 5.
