In an artistic effort to keep pace with contemporary trends, Bangkok’s Pariwas Ratchasongkram temple boasts an extraordinary sculpture project depicting creatures ranging from popular cartoon characters to mythological deities.
Placed around the sanctuary’s ubosot, the plastic sculptures are embellished with small pieces of ceramic porcelain. Designed by Surin Phanumasand and made by local craftsmen, the artwork took 10 years to complete.
The temple, located on Rama III Road, welcomes visitors, especially children.
