Home of the Fighting Fish

Pla gud, commonly known as Siamese fighting fish, may soon become the national fish. The Fisheries Department has submitted a proposal to the Cabinet for consideration. The Siamese fighting fish is frequently featured in classic Thai literature and is seen as the embodiment of the country’s cultural identity.
