The annual Thailand Tourism Festival, the Kingdom’s largest domestic tourism fair, has kicked off today in Bangkok's Lumpini Park. The festival will feature five “tourism villages”, displaying the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of the country’s five main regions - Northern, Southern, Eastern, Central and Northeastern (Isan). There will also be two additional zones, including a ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’ waste initiative zone, set to promote environmental awareness and responsible tourism. Visitors are invited to take part in numerous games and activities and to enjoy fairs displaying local handicrafts, and more. The event will continue until 27 January.
