Bangkok municipal authorities continue to struggle with air pollution. Around 600 factories citywide have been temporarily shut down in an effort to reduce harmful emissions, and another 1,700 factories are now under close scrutiny. Measures to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions from road transport are also being discussed.
