The King Narai Festival has kicked off in Thailand’s central Lopburi province. This annual event is an homage to King Narai the Great who reigned between 1656 and 1688.
The opening ceremony took place at King Narai’s Palace. Further festivities include a vibrant procession of floats, horses and elephants, a variety of cultural performances, dances, and much more.
The festival will continue until 17 February.
