New Electric Ferries to Operate on Chao Phraya River

A new THB1 billion (around US$32 million) electric ferry project is set to turn Bangkok into the ‘Venice of the East’ and relieve the air pollution problem. The service is expected to launch by the end of the year and to become fully operation by February 2020. The entire fleet will be comprised of 54 electric vessels.
