On 19 February, all Thai people and foreign visitors to the Kingdom will be able to watch the ‘Super Full Moon’, when the moon will be at its closest point to the earth, approaching it at a distance of 356,836 km.
The astronomical body will appear 7% larger and 16% brighter in the night sky, the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) reports. The spectacular celestial phenomenon will be viewable with the naked eye from 06:11 pm local time (UTC/GMT + 7 hours).
