The Tham Luang Cave Day Bike and Run 2019 will be held on 23 June to mark the first anniversary of the Wild Boars soccer team rescue from an underwater cave complex in Chiang Rai.
Organized by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and the Chiang Rai provincial administration, the event will feature a 10 km mini marathon, a six km fun run, and two cycling distances of 54 km and 24 km.
Participants will ride past some of the locations associated with the dramatic rescue operation, including the Ban Jong community where rescuers stayed and the Wild Boars’ soccer field.
