On 28 July, Thais will honour His Majesty the King's 67th birthday. HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) inherited the throne in 2016 when his father Bhumibol Adulyadej died.
This is a public holiday in Thailand. Colorful celebrations and traditional rituals will be held across the Kingdom. On this day, streets, workplaces, government offices, and households are decorated with images of the King, national flags, and yellow ribbons symbolizing people’s devotion to the Monarch.
