Bangkok’s Blue Line has got five new stations with a free service between them during the two-month test run, from 29 July to 28 September. However, passengers who get on the train at Hua Lamphong will be required to pay the regular fare of THB 16 (around U.S.$ 0.5).
The new stations on the extension are Wat Mangkon, Sam Yot, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap, and Tha Phra station. With the Sanam Chai station located close to the Grand Palace and other landmarks, visitors will enjoy much convenience exploring the city's iconic attractions.
The stations operate from 10.00 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. The official opening is scheduled for 29 September.
