The US business magazine CEOWORLD has ranked Thailand sixth in its 2019 list of countries with the best healthcare systems. The Kingdom scored 67.99 points out of 100.
The assessment criteria included infrastructure, health care professionals' competence, cost, availability of good quality medicine, and government readiness.
Of the 89 countries surveyed, Taiwan’s health care system topped the index with a score of 78.72, followed by South Korea and Japan. The top ten is largely dominated by European countries: Austria was ranked fourth, Denmark fifth, Spain seventh, France eighths, and Belgium ninth. Venezuela rounded up the list with a score of 33.42.
