Pattaya municipal authorities have announced their plans to build new underground public toilets on local beaches. The construction will start with four facilities along Pattaya Beach Road, and more facilities on Jomtien and Dongtan are to follow. The bathrooms will be accessible for the disabled and feature cigarette bins.

As building toilets at street level is officially banned, the project will use the experience of Vietnam as a benchmark.

No completion date has been set.
