Cherry trees have burst into blossom in Thailand's northern provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Tourists are invited to the local national parks to admire the spectacular phenomenon, which usually lasts until mid-February. Camping facilities are available.
Winter is the blooming season for many rare plants in Thailand. The beautiful pink trumpet tree, otherwise known as tabebuia rosea, is now in full blossom in Bangkok’s Chatuchak Railway Park.
