Following the outbreak of the new coronavirus in China, Thailand has stepped up health checks for passengers arriving from China at the Kingdom’s busiest international airports, including Suvarnabhumi, Don Muang, and U-Tapao. Those include temperature screening as well as further tests for passengers exhibiting suspicious symptoms.
International visitors to Thailand are advised to take the necessary precautions and avoid direct contact with Chinese travelers in crowded places. Tourists who have developed fever or other symptoms of pneumonia, are recommended to contact the Department of Disease Control via hotline 1422.
