Effective 13 March 2020, visitors from 18 countries and territories will no longer be eligible for visas on arrival, the Thai Immigration Bureau reported. The 18 countries include Bulgaria, Bhutan, China (including Taiwan), Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mexico, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu. Visa exemption will also be cancelled for visitors from virus-hit Italy, South Korea and Hong Kong.
