Chiang Rai's Thermal Springs Await Visitors

16 March 2020

The Tourism of Thailand office in Chiang Rai is delighted to invite all health-conscious and experience-seeking visitors to treat themselves to a mineral bath in the province’s most popular hot springs, including Thaweesin, Pong Pu Fuang, Pha Soet, Pong Phra Bat in Muang district and Pa Tueng in Mae Chan district.

Ranging from 39 to 73 degrees Celsius, the springs are said to have a virucidal effect.

Access to public pools is 30THB (around US$1). Discerning visitors may rent a private pool bungalow. There are no official time restrictions, however it is advisable not to stay in a hot bath for more than 15 minutes. You can buy a basket of eggs and the heat of the hot spring will boil them in 15 minutes. More substantial meals are served in a restaurant nearby.
