Air traffic between Russia and Thailand will double soon, owing to an agreement reached between the two countries’ tourism ministries. Under the pact, air service capacity will be expanded between the destinations to accommodate growing demand by Russian tourists.
Flights from Bangkok to Moscow will increase to 70 per week, up from 40 per week. Service between St. Petersburg and Phuket will double to reach 28 flights a week. The Irkutsk - Chiang Mai route will be replaced by Novosibirsk – Krabi flights seven times a week.
