Charter flights operating at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport will be re-routed to other area airports between March 3 to May 2 due to runway maintenance at the Kingdom’s busiest airport.
During maintenance, one runway will be closed at certain times. Sending charter operators elsewhere will relieve congestion at the airport while maintenance is underway. The closure will not affect scheduled flights.
The second stage of Suvarnabhumi airport’s expansion project is expected to be completed in 2019 and will increase the airport’s capacity to 60 million passengers annually. During 2016, the airport boarded more than 55 million passengers,
