Udon Thani, a province in northeast Thailand, is hosting Tung Si Muang, one of the region’s largest annual festivals.
Tung Si Muang was previously held in December to mark His Majesty the Late King’s birthday, but in 2017 the celebrations were moved to February.
Aimed to promote locally-made textile and OTOP products, Tung Si Muang includes a large-scale fair where visitors can find textiles from six countries in the Greater Mekong sub-region, as well as contests and music performances. The festivities will continue through 25 February.
