Bangkok Airways intends to construct airports in Thailand and a neighboring country, local media report.
No details have been disclosed, however Phang Nga province is known to be considered as a potential air hub to reduce Phuket’s airport congestion. In 2016, it handled 15 million passengers, three million more than its designed capacity.
The other airport is expected to be built in Myanmar or another country in Indochina, based on the number of arrivals.
