Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports reported that during the first four months of 2017, the country received revenue of THB 840 billion from tourism, an increase of 4.68% year-on-year. Of this, more than THB 600 billion is attributed to visitors from Europe.
From January through April 2017, Thailand welcomed 12 million international visitors, a 2.9% year-on-year increase. Arrivals peaked at 700,000 during the popular Songkran festival.
The Kingdom is expected to receive 35 million visitors by year-end.
