The famous Dok Krachiao – or Siam Tulips – have blossomed in the Pa Hin Ngam and Sai Tong National Parks, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand invites all to see them in bloom.
The parks, in Chayaphum province, are home to some of Thailand's amazing natural wonders. Despite their name, the pinkish–purple flowers are related to the ginger species. Growing in Central and Northern regions of Thailand, they come into bloom during the rainy season.
The event is celebrated by the Dok Krachiao Blooming Festival, which takes place from 17 June through 30 September this year. The festival will open with a parade and plentiful fun activities.
