The Tourism Authority of Thailand has projected that tourism revenue will reach THB 3.1 trillion (around US $9 billion) next year. Programs aimed at attracting more Chinese and European visitors will stimulate demand, TAT said.
In 2017, the Thai government allocated THB 7 billion to TAT for tourism development, up 2.4% compared with the previous year. By the end of 2017, Thailand is expected to receive 35 million visitors.
