Thai tourism authorities report a 15% increase in arrivals from India over the first six months of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.
The most popular destinations for Indian leisure travelers include Hua Hin, Cha-Am, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi, Trat, Phuket, Pattaya, and Bangkok. The Kingdom owes the upswing to enhanced direct service from India to the Land of Smiles, including recently launched flights from Kochi.
India is the sixth-largest origin for visitors to Thailand, the TAT reports.
