The restoration of Wat Arun, one of the capital's iconic temples, has been completed.
Workers replaced about 40% of the old temple, and the authentic features were carefully preserved to retain the original design. Special attention was paid to the façade embellished with glimmering seashells and pieces of porcelain. In addition, the walls were cleaned of moss and lime build-up, so now the temple looks brighter.
The restoration work took almost four years.
