Bangkok will host the fourth UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism in Bangkok in 2018.
Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the World Tourism Organization have agreed to hold the next UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism in Bangkok. The event is expected to showcase the Kingdom’s potential, as well as to promote the country’s cuisine.
Gastronomy tourism is gaining tremendous popularity worldwide, and Thailand is on its way to become an international destination for foodies and culinary art enthusiasts. Steps taken to advance the Kingdom’s food industry include turning Bangkok’s Bang Khunthian district into a traditional street food hub and launching a Michelin Red Guide for Thailand.
